Why not wear underwear and a bra to the beach?

It's funny how when you see a girl wearing a skimpy bathing suit outside by the pool, it doesn't cross your mind that there's nothing really to it. On the other hand, if that same girl were outside in a bra and underwear that had more fabric to it, then it's wrong and too sexual. This is a good question to ask yourself. Bathing suits are made each year more, and more reveling. Some swimwear is so reveling that they look exactly like lingerie. In my opinion, swimsuits are what's the norm for us to wear while outside at the pool or beach. Undergarments and lingerie are for inside and not for everyone to see. I personally wouldn't want to wear underwear and a bra to the pool because once they are exposed to water, they pretty much become see through. Swimwear is made with a different material, so when it gets wet, you are protected from others seeing whats behind the suit. Woman's swim suit bottoms are becoming so skimpy now though, I feel that wearing underwear would cover you up more. There is a lot of controversy over this matter, and woman feel that if men can walk around without their shirt on, or in their boxers, then women can too. The fact of the matter is, is that this is the way it's been in our society for many years, women wear and do certain things, while men wear and do other certain things, this is just a fact of life. Although, I feel that however you want to dress, and express yourself should be okay. If women want to wear underwear and bras to the beache, then let them. It's not illegal, so do and wear what you want.

  1. To add another twist to the mix, let's consider that this is mainly only a controversy in the United States. If you go overseas, in many places there are topless beaches and women's bodies are more socially accepted. While walking around in a bra and underwear there is still considered unacceptable and matches the feelings of the US, I believe our skimpy swimsuits come from the ideas of what people overseas where, which is virtually nothing. The difference is that it's okay for them to dress that way. Sexuality is accepted. I disagree with that once a bra and undies get wet them become see through, it actually would depend on the style. I'll admit either way I wouldn't want to risk it. I do however think as a country we should strive to become more socially acceptable of sexually and change our mindsets on what is and isn't okay.

  2. Good point lady's! To me it's an issue of over exsposure. A womans most private parts should remain a mystery untill she is ready to reveal her inner assests!
